Cast Your Primary Vote With Biblical Confidence

How can we know who to vote for? Who can we believe? Why even bother to vote?

As Christians, we need to understand that we are in a spiritual battle. (Ephesians 6:12) Satan relentlessly fights to place his servants in authority, who will do the enemy’s bidding, opposing God and His Word in every aspect of life. Why would any Christian think that it is not his responsibility before God to exercise the blessing of freedom to vote for godly authorities? If Christians don’t cast their votes for those who honor God’s laws, who will?

God teaches us in Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” We need to ask ourselves, “Do we want to live with rejoicing or groaning?”

If you want to take a stand for God and His Word in your voting, there is a valuable resource to help you do so. The 2026 iVoterGuide is expected to be released on July 31, featuring invaluable research on voting in line with Judeo-Christian values. You can visit iVoterGuide.com to sign up and be notified when your voting guide is ready. This organization’s purpose states: “Elections are the front lines of an everyday, year-round, fifty-state battle for the soul of our country. iVoterGuide is fighting the good fight by equipping everyday Americans with the tools they need to vote wisely.”

Here are steps you can take to cast a godly vote:

  1. Visit RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov and make sure that you are registered to vote by July 20 so you can vote in the Primary. Voter turnout is usually low in Primaries, so a few people get to choose who the general public will be voting for and against in the November election. Be one of the wise few – vote in the Primary.
  2. Visit iVoterGuide.com and sign up to receive your personal voting guide.
  3. Obtain a sample ballot from your local Supervisor of Elections office or website and plan your voting.
  4. Vote in the Primary on August 18, or during early voting August 8-15.
  5. If you missed the July 20 deadline, be sure to register to vote in the general election by October 5.
  6. Vote in the General Election on November 3 or during early voting, October 19-31.

After you vote, remember God’s warning in Psalms 146:3: “Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.” We must continue to fight the spiritual battle, especially in prayer. “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
